Soul Food

I've been doing a lot of reading lately, basically out of sheer boredom. I've been reading this book about improving one's life, etc...one of those self-help guides.

Yeah, I know. You're bored out of your gourd already. Well, before you start to head over to Homestarrunner.com, bear with me. One of the recommendations that the book has is to make albums with old photographs, and to look at them and other memory-invoking items. According to the author, doing so will get you back in touch with the person you once were. Yeah, I know it sounds somewhat new-age-y, but it's true.

Well, I came across a whole bunch of undeveloped film that I had from high school and college. Some of it was the old 110 film (ya know...the kind you put into the inexpensive cameras that you give seven-year-olds for their vacations). Others were good old 35 millimeter. So...I developed a bunch of film today.

The results weren't half-bad. I ended up returning a lot of the pictures, because they were either so messed up that there would be no point keeping them, or they were of inanimate objects, or they were duplicates. Or in some cases, all of the above. The rest, though, weren't half-bad. I wish I had more pictures from high-school, though. Maybe I'll hit up my friends at my 10-year reunion in three years...ha!

(Edited because "boredome" is only a word in my wonderful imaginary world)
